Carlyn Pounders is a marketing and communications specialist and the Program Coordinator for Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link, Inc. (SEM Link), an Atlanta based non-profit organization. As SEM Link’s Program Coordinator, she is responsible for program coordination, facilitating external communications to the general public and volunteers, and social media strategy. In addition to her role as SEM Link’s Program Coordinator, Ms. Pounders is a social impact story-teller who combines her communication and digital marketing skills to advance social impact endeavors and stir people into action and engagement. Carlyn’s goal is to help organizations produce marketing campaigns that resonate with their target audiences through the deployment of strategy and creativity. She leverages campaign planning and creative problem solving to do so. Carlyn holds a B.A. in Multimedia Journalism from Georgia State University and is currently a graduate candidate in the Georgetown University Integrated Marketing Communications program. She is certified in Digital Marketing & Fundraising for Nonprofits from Nonprofit Tech for Good and in E-STEM Education from Cornell University.
